If you have excess weight then it can lead to health problems. One of the ways to lose weight is to follow a juice diet in which you consume only juices. This routine can be followed for 3, 5, 7 or 10 days and then repeated after 3 months.

Your body gets exposed to toxins from processed foods and saturated fats and sugars. Your body gets overloaded with these toxins and you end up putting on weight. You need to eat more healthy food like fruits and vegetables. People usually do not eat the required amount of fruits and vegetables daily. Juicing is a convenient way to get your daily intake of fruits and vegetables. 

In the juice diet, you consume only juices made from fruits and vegetables for a specific period. The juices contain healthy nutrients like vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals. These juices do not have to be digested and get absorbed in the body quickly. You intake only healthy juices during the routine.

Citrus fruit juices are high in vitamin C, carrot juice is high in vitamin A and leafy greens are high in vitamin E. Pure fruit juices are also rich in minerals like iron, potassium, iodine, magnesium and more. You should consume different types of juices during your juice diet.

If you want to lose weight then increase the quantity of vegetables rather than fruits. Or you can select fruits that are low in sugar. A rule to follow is to make half of your juice with vegetables. If you are buying juices from the market then you can go for cold-pressed juices.

Cold-pressed juices are made from fruits and vegetables and do not have any added sweeteners, falvours or preservatives. The juice is not treated after it is extracted. It is a pure form of juice and has to be refrigerated and consumed within 3 days. This juicing for weight loss has many healthy nutrients and you can select the ones low in calories.

Juices do not contain indigestible fibres and the nutrients are available in more quantity than eating a whole fruit or vegetable. Juices provide the substance which is very important for good health - water. 

Weight-loss routine

You should prepare your body for the juice diet 2 -3 days in advance. You should start to eat more whole grains, fruits and vegetables. If you are making juice at home then you should use the juicer. Your juicer should be able to juice the leafy greens. 

You should consume juice every 2 - 2.5 hours during the day. You should make your juices and consume them immediately. Or you can prepare the juices and refrigerate them though some nutrients will be lost. Follow the routine for the specified period.
